HEBRON, Sunday, December 16, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces last night distributed leaflets threatening the entire citizens of Beit Ummar town, to the north of Hebron, of collective punishments under the pretext that Israeli settlers‘ vehicles passing near the town are repeatedly attacked by stones from the town.
The leaflets threatened to impose financial penalties on any families some of whose members are accused of pelting stones at settlers‘ vehicles. The penalties also include the withdrawal of work permits from the relatives of any persons involved in stoning attacks on Israeli settlers.
Israeli forces, however, have failed to impose any penalties on Israeli settlers who attack Palestinian vehicles with stones or even Molotov cocktails, as settlers intensified their attacks on Palestinian vehicles during the past few days.
In October, Palestinian woman Aysha Rabi from the town of Salfit in the West Bank was killed after Israeli settlers attacked the vehicle she was at a main street south of Nablus. She was hit by a rock in her head and died immediately.
