Palestinian shot dead in Jerusalem after alleged stabbing attack

JERUSALEM, Thursday, December 13, 2018 (WAFA) – A Palestinian identified as Majd Jamal Mteir, from Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, was shot and killed early Thursday by Israeli forces in the old city of Jerusalem after he allegedly stabbed police officers, according to witnesses.

They told WAFA that the Israeli forces fired 10 to 12 bullets at Mteir and left him bleeding for around 40 minutes before he died.

The police closed the area and prevented people from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque nearby for the morning prayer and the press from covering the shooting.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces rounded up early Thursday 19 Palestinians from throughout occupied East Jerusalem in raids at their homes.
