RAMALLAH, Thursday, December 13, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces shooting at a Palestinian taxicab near Ramallah on Wednesday night has resulted in the killing of the driver, who Israel claims was the person involved in shoot and injuring several Israeli settlers at the illegal Ofra settlement north of Ramallah on Sunday, according to Palestinian security sources and members of the alleged shooter’s family.

Saleh Barghouti, 29, was driving his cab when Israeli soldiers opened fire at his vehicle near Surda, north of Ramallah. First reports did not say whether he was even injured, but later Israeli army reports said he was killed. The sources told WAFA that undercover Israeli forces seized Barghouti’s body.

Army units raided the Barghouti residence in the village of Kobar, north of Ramallah, and detained his father and brothers.

Clashes occurred with residents during the raid.

Army units also raided a building in Ramallah after the shooting of Barghouti and seized a car believed related to the drive-by shooting attack in Ofra.
