Israeli forces detain five Palestinians from West Bank

 

RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 29, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday detained at least five Palestinians during multiple predawn raids across the West Bank, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.

Israeli forces detained three Palestinians after storming and ransacking the homes of their families across the central West Bank district of Ramallah and al-Bireh.

Soldiers also detained a former prisoner from Qalqilya, in the north of the West Bank, who has spent 12 years behind Israeli bars.

Meanwhile, forces raided Nablus city neighborhood of Rafidia and detained a former prisoner after violently searching his home and interrogating several members of his family.

Elsewhere in Nablus district, forces conducted a raid into the archeological area of Sebastia, northwest of Nablus, triggering confrontations with Palestinian residents.

Soldiers reportedly fired concussion and teargas bombs. No injuries or detentions were reported.

Forces also raided Qaryout town, south of Nablus, where they opened fire at youths who protested the raid. No injuries or detentions were reported.
