JENIN, Monday, November 26, 2018 (WAFA) - Wife of Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jails, Sa’ed Mohammad Ali Salah, gave birth on Monday after she had conceived from sperm from her imprisoned husband smuggled from the prison.
Salah’s wife delivered a healthy baby boy at the Specialized Arab Hospital in Nablus, said the family. The boy was named ‘Ayyed.
Salah’s wife gave birth three years ago to another child also through artificial insemination after Salah‘s sperm was smuggled out of Israeli jails.
Salah, from Kafr Dan village, west of the northern West Bank district of Jenin, is serving a 27-years imprisonment sentence in Israeli jails.
According to director of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) in Jenin, Montaser Samour, the birth of Ayyed brings the total number of Palestinian babies conceived using smuggled sperms from Israeli jails to 67.
