RAMALLAH, September 27, 2018 (WAFA) – Reacting to statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in New York regarding keeping Israeli security forces in areas west of the Jordan River, that is the West Bank’s Jordan Valley, presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said on Thursday that not a single Israeli soldier will be accepted to remain on the Palestinian land.
"We would only accept an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital," Abu Rudeineh told WAFA.
"We will not accept the presence of a single occupation soldier on our Palestinian land,” he said, reiterating that Israeli settlements are illegal and “any thoughts or suggestions that disregard this matter will be rejected and are unacceptable."
