GAZA, August 9, 2018 (WAFA) – Germany is going to provide a new $13 million grant that will  go for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, Minister of Housing and Public Works Mufeed Hasayneh said on Thursday.

He said the grant will be provided through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Gaza.

Hasayneh said after meeting UNOPS Jerusalem office director Tokumitsu Kobayashi in Gaza that the Palestinian government is committed to rebuilding all the homes destroyed in the 2014 Israeli war on Gaza.

The two sides also discussed progress in ongoing reconstruction projects and mechanism to coordinate entry into Gaza of construction material through Israel.
