Six Palestinians rounded up in West Bank raids

 

RAMALLAH, August 7, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli army detained six Palestinians in overnight raids in the West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said on Tuesday.

The army detained Baraa Thouqan, and his brother Bahaa, sons of Najah University lecturer Ghassan Thouqan who was detained on July 11 following a raid at his Nablus home. The army held Bahaa for several hours before releasing him and kept Baraa. The soldiers also confiscated the family’s car.

Soldiers also detained two people from Qarawat Bani Hassan in the Salfit district, and one from Qabatya, in the Jenin district, both in the north of the West Bank, a 17-year-old from Beit Ur al-Tahta, in the Ramallah district, and one, 19 years, from Beit Ummar in the Hebron district in the south of the West Bank.
