NABLUS, March 29, 2018 (WAFA) - Hundreds dunums of agricultural land in Beit Dajan to the east of Nablus were damaged on Thursday due to strong wind, according to the head of village council, Tawfiq Haj Mohammad.
He told WAFA that hundreds of greenhouses spread over 200 dunums of land and planted with vegetables were destroyed from the strong wind, while other 600 dunums of land planted with crops were partially destroyed.
More than 150 families make a living from those agricultural lands and their crops, he said, calling on the relevant authorities to inspect the damages in order to compensate the farmers.
Ministry of Agriculture officials visited the land in question to estimate losses and damages in order to take the necessary actions in helping the farmers.
