BETHLEHEM, March 28, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Wednesday demolished several structures in the village of al-Walja, northwest of the city of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, according to a local source.
Ibrahim Awadallah, a local activist, told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the area of Ein al-Jowaiza, to the north of the village, and demolished a 180-square meter home that was still under construction belonging to Nader Abu Khiyara.
He said forces also demolished a graveyard that belonged of the family Abed Rabbo, and retaining walls, which belonged to Fayez Omar.
The structures were demolished after Israeli forces claimed they were built without a permit.
Awadallah noted that Israeli authorities handed notices to those whose properties were demolished, stressing that the village has been a target for several demolition campaigns, in an attempt to expel the Palestinians residents in it in favor of settlers.
