NABLUS, March 6, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday detained 17 Palestinians, including a girl, and seized cash during multiple predawn raids across the West Bank, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society and security sources.
Israeli forces raided Nablus district in the northern West Bank, where they detained five Palestinians.
Meanwhile, forces detained a female university student during an overnight raid into Sielet al-Harithiyya town, west of Jenin.
Israeli troops leading police dogs stormed a home belonging to the Jarrar family in the town, destroying its front door and ransacking its contents.
According to the Jarrar family, troops held the entire family members for over two hours, while female soldiers strip-searched women in one room before eventually detaining a female university student.
Soldiers also detained another Palestinian, identified as a former prisoner, after breaking into and searching his home.
PPS added another Palestinian was detained from the northern West Bank district of Jenin.
In the southern West Bank, forces detained five Palestinians during several raids across Bethlehem district.
In Hebron district, forces detained two Palestinian brothers during a raid into al-Muwarq village, southwest of Hebron city.
PPS said Israeli forces detained two other Palestinians from Hebron city.
One of them was beaten up before his detention, while the other was detained after soldiers damaged the contents of his pluming store and seized NIS 4,000 ($1,150) in the city.
