RAMALLAH, March 4, 2018 (WAFA) – Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) monitored 25 violations committed by Israeli authorities against Palestinian journalists during February.
WAFA said in its monthly report that eight journalists were injured from gas bombs, stun grenades, rubber-coated bullets, or as a result of beatings and assaults. Meanwhile, 17 journalists were detained, shot at but not injured or had their press cards confiscated by Israeli soldiers.
“Israeli forces continue to target journalists on purpose, aiming to obstruct their activities and role in covering events and the violations perpetuated against unarmed civilians,” said the report.
