RAMALLAH, January 17, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is partially cloudy to cloudy with a drop in temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Scattered rain showers along with thunderstorms are expected on most areas.
Wind is southwesterly to westerly, light to moderate, active at times. Sea waves are low to medium.
The PMD also predicts weather on Thursday to remain the same, though dusty at times. Temperature is expected to rise and scattered rain is expected to drop during morning hours.
The region gets affected in the evening by a deep, cold low pressure front. Weather is expected to become cold and windy with heavy rain, thunderstorms and hail at times.
Weather on Friday continues to be cloudy and cold to very cold. Temperature is expected to significantly drop. Heavy rain with thunderstorms and hail at times are expected on several areas. A chance of light snow is expected on mountains 1000 meters above sea levels.
Partially cloudy skies are expected to prevail on Saturday. Temperature is expected to rise while remaining lower than its annual average.
PMD warned citizens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog, low clouds, strong winds, formation of floods in low areas and sliding on roads because of hail, snow and rain.
