Israeli force attack a student demonstration in Bethlehem

 

BETHLEHEM, December 9, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces attacked on Saturday students who demonstrated at the northern entrance of the biblical city of Bethlehem in the south of the West Bank, according to witnesses.

They said students marched to the northern entrance of the city to protest US recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel.

However, Israeli forces stationed in the area attacked the demonstrators with tear gas and rubber-coated metal bullets injuring some of them, said the witnesses.

Two Palestinians were killed and more than 1000 injured in the last two days in confrontations with Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, according to Ministry of Health reports. The two dead were in the Gaza Strip.
