RAMALLAH, December 7, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained on Thursday at least 36 Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, 21 of them from the Nablus area village of Qusra, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.
Israeli army forces stormed the village of Qusra at midnight and detained 21 people for allegedly confronting Israeli settlers who attacked their village in the last days. One village resident, a 46 year old farmer, was killed by a settler earlier this week.
Israeli military laws ban Palestinians from defending themselves when attacked by Israelis and usually those who fight back get arrested.
In occupied East Jerusalem, Israeli police detained six Palestinians, four of them minors from Issawiyeh.
In Jenin district, north of the West Bank, Israeli army stormed the town of Ya’bad and detained four Palestinians.
Israeli forces also detained three Palestinians from Ramallah, and at least one from Bethlehem area.
