RIADYH, December 5, 2017 (WAFA) – Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Tuesday said that any US move on Jerusalem is going to provoke Muslim feelings around the world.
US President Donald Trump called King Salman to inform him of his decision to move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
King Salman told Trump that any US decision regarding the status of Jerusalem before a final peace agreement is reached is going to hurt negotiations and increase tension in the region.
He said such a move is going to provoke Muslims around the world because of the status of Jerusalem for Muslims as the location of Al- Aqsa Mosque, the Muslim‘s first Qibla.
He said that Saudi Arabia has and will continue to support the Palestinian people and their historical rights.
