Archbishop Theodosios: Palestinians will not stand still if US moves embassy to Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, December 5, 2017 (WAFA) – Archbishop Theodosios (Hanna) of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem Tuesday said that Palestinians will “not stand still” if the US administration decides to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Speaking to Voice of Palestine radio, Theodosios described the potential U.S. move as a provocation to the entire Arab world and to the Palestinian people in particular, and an “infringement on the the religious and national rights” of the Palestinian people.

“We are at a point where a conspiracy is being woven against our Arab nation, and our enemies are plotting to destroy us and turn us into rival sects and tribes,” he said.

“Those who love Palestine and Jerusalem, and those who want to defend them, must work to unite the ranks in order to be together in a single trench, in order to defend Jerusalem and its holy sites and Islamic and Christian endowments”.
