NABLUS, December 1, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday opened live fire on Palestinians near the village of Qusra, south of Nablus, a day after Israeli settlers killed a farmer from the village, said medical sources.
Palestinians from the village held Friday prayers at the site of Ras al-Nakhel near the village, where Mahmoud Odeh, 48, was killed by Israeli Jewish settlers on Thursday.
Israeli forces fired dozens of tear gas canisters, live ammunition and rubber-coated steel bullets at worshippers, provoking clashes.
Palestinian Red Crescent Society said their medics treated 35 Palestinians for tear gas suffocation before evacuating them to a safe place.
Meanwhile, member of Qusra village council Imad Jamil said that hundreds of villagers performed Friday prayers at Ras al-Nakhel before they were attacked by dozens of Israeli forces deployed in the area.
He added that clashes carried on to the eastern entrance of the village, where soldiers showered protestors with bullets and canisters.
Settlers reportedly trespassed on the field of Mahmoud Odeh, 48, near Qusra before shooting him dead and injuring Fayez Hasan, 47, in the leg.
