Weather: Slight rise in temperature, scattered showers expect

 

RAMALLAH, November 23, 2017 (WAFA) – Weather on Thursday is cloudy and relatively cold with a slight rise in temperature which anyhow remains five degrees Celsius lower than the annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

A slight chance of scattered showers is expected on some areas, with southwesterly to westerly, light winds but active at times. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem on Thursday is expected to reach a high of 14 degrees Celsius during the day and drops to 9 degrees at night. In Ramallah, a high of 12 degrees and a low of 8 degrees are expected. In Nablus, a high of 16 degrees and a low of 10 degrees are expected. In Jericho and the Dead Sea, a high of 22 degrees and a low of 15 degrees are expected while in the Jordan Valley a high of 20 degrees and a low of 13 are expected. Temperature in Gaza and the coastal areas is expected to reach a high of 19 degrees and a low of 13 degrees Celsius, according to the PMD.

Another slight rise in temperature is expected for Friday to become three degrees Celsius lower than the annual average with slight chance of scattered rain on some areas.

Partially cloudy skies are expected for Saturday as temperature rises again while remaining slightly below the annual average.

However, a drop in temperature is expected for Sunday to become two degrees Celsius lower than the annual average with good chance of rain and occasional thunderstorms expected on most areas, according to the PMD.
