RAMALLAH, November 21, 2017 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah movement condemned on Tuesday Israeli police detention of its senior members in occupied East Jerusalem saying this campaign aims at silencing the city’s local leaders.
Police detained in early morning raids Hatem Abdul Qadder, one of the top Fatah leaders in East Jerusalem, Shadi Mtour, secretary of its East Jerusalem branch, as well as several other activists.
Fatah spokesman Munir Jaghoub strongly denounced the detention campaign saying its part of Israeli policy to quell the city’s activists and to silence their voice in the occupied city.
