Weather: Drop in temperature, rain expected

 

RAMALLAH, November 20, 2017 (WAFA) – Weather on Monday is partially cloudy to cloudy with a drop in temperature to approach two degrees Celsius lower than its annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Scattered rain is expected on some areas, especially during the night.

Wind is southwesterly to westerly, moderate to active. Sea waves are low to medium height.

Temperature in Jerusalem on Monday is expected to reach a high of 17 degrees Celsius during the day and drops to 11 degrees at night. In Ramallah, a high of 15 degrees and a low of 10 degrees are expected. In Jericho and the Jordan Valley, a high of 26 degrees and a low of 17 degrees are expected. Temperature in Gaza and the coastal areas is expected to reach a high of 22 degrees and a low of 15 degrees Celsius, according to the PMD.

The PMD also predicts weather on Thursday to be cloudy and relatively cold as temperature is expected to drop and approach five degrees Celsius lower than its annual average. Rain and thunderstorms are expected on most areas.

Wednesday’s weather is partially cloudy to cloudy, and cold. Another slight drop in temperature is expected approaching six degrees Celsius lower than its annual average. Scattered rain showers are also expected on some areas.

Partially cloudy to cloudy skies are expected to prevail on Thursday. Temperature is expected to rise while remaining three degrees Celsius lower than its annual average.
