Palestinian government denounces Israel’s decision to evacuate Bedouin community near Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, November 17, 2017 (WAFA) - Palestinian Government spokesperson Tareq Rishmawi denounced Israel’s decision to evacuate all 300 Palestinian residents from a Bedouin community near Jerusalem.

Israeli authorities Friday distributed evacuation notices to all 300 Palestinian Bedouin residents of Jerusalem’s eastern Bedouin village of Jabal Al-Baba.

The spokesperson slammed the decision as a blatant violations of all international laws and resolutions concerning the Palestinian issue.

He stressed the need for the international community to uphold its responsibility toward the Palestinian people and to take practical and deterrent steps to prevent the Israeli government from committing more crimes against the Palestinian people.

The spokesperson maintained that the continuation of such ‘crimes’ would undermine all international efforts aimed at reviving the peace process.
