Israeli forces detain 15 Palestinians from West Bank, three from Jerusalem

 

JENIN, November 7, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday detained at least 15 Palestinians in multiple overnight raids across the West Bank and three youths were detained in East Jerusalem, said security sources, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and WAFA correspondent.

Israeli forces detained two Palestinians after ransacking their family homes in Jenin city in the northern West Bank.

Forces detained two others and ransacked a number of homes during a similar overnight raid into Kufr Dan village, northwest of Jenin.

A Palestinian identified as a former prisoner from the Jenin-district town of Yabad was also detained after attending a hearing for one of his relatives at the Israeli military court in Salem.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians from Faraa refugee camp, south of Tubas in the northern West Bank, were detained, said PPS.

In Qalqiliya district, forces conducted a raid into Jayyous village, where they broke into several homes and detained three Palestinians, including a 17-year-old.

Another was detained during a subsequent raid into Qalqiliya city.

Elsewhere in the northern West Bank, forces detained two Palestinians after storming their family homes in Nablus.

In East Jerusalem district, undercover Israeli forces grabbed and detained three Palestinian youths from the vicinity of a playground in Beit Hanina neighborhood, according to WAFA correspondent.

To the south of Jerusalem, in Bethlehem district, forces detained a Palestinian during a raid that sparked clashes into Doha, west of the city.

To the south of Bethlehem, in Hebron, forces detained a Palestinian after forcing him out of his vehicle in Hebron neighborhood of Jabal Jawhar.

They also conducted similar raids into Hebron-district towns of Dahriyeh, Deir Samet, Beit Awwa, Shyoukh, Sair as well as Arroub refugee camp, where they thoroughly searched a number of homes and briefly detained a former prisoner and an undergraduate student.
