Palestinians still waiting for US peace plan, says foreign minister

RAMALLAH, October 31, 2017 (WAFA) - Foreign Minister Riyad Malki said Tuesday that Palestine is still waiting for the US Administration to submit its ideas and plan for achieving peace, pointing out contacts are continuing with the US regarding this.

Speaking to Voice of Palestine radio, Malki reiterated Palestine’s readiness to cooperate with the US efforts to revive the peace process in the hope that it will pressure Israeli to abide by international  law and resolutions or reach a conviction that Israel is the party obstructing and thwarting efforts to reach an agreement to end the occupation.

Malki said that Israeli  plans in East Jerusalem  are not only aimed at changing the demographic balance in the city, but also at undermining the two-state solution and preventing the establishment of a contiguous Palestinian state.

He said that Israel announced that it intends to abolish the Arab presence in Jerusalem by the year 2020 and transform it into a Jewish city through a series of racist laws.
