RAMALLAH, October 26, 2017 (WAFA) – Police said on Thursday that a 6-year-old child who was brought dead to clinic in the town of Tormous Ayya, north of Ramallah, few days ago died after being beaten by her stepmother.

Police spokesman Loay Irzeiqat said an autopsy on the body of the child showed that she died from severe beating.

After investigating the incident and questioning the child’s stepmother, she confessed that she used to regularly beat the child, which was the cause of the death, said Irzeiqat.

The stepmother was immediately arrested pending further investigation.
