HEBRON, October 8, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces overnight and early Sunday detained 13 Palestinians during military raid and search campaigns carried out across various West Bank districts, said The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS)..
PPS said forces carried out raid and search campaigns across the Hebron area, during which at least six Palestinians were detained.
Forces also detained two Palestinians in the Ramallah area, in addition to three others in Nablus, in the central and northern West Bank, respectively.
In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, Israeli army detained two Palestinians, including a 19-year-old, after raiding and searching their homes.
Clashes reportedly broke out between the army and Palestinians in al-Mahd square, in Bethlehem. The army used tear gas canisters and stun grenades against the local residents, however, no injuries were reported.
This past September, Israeli forces detained 431 Palestinians, including 98 children, 11 females, and three journalists, said PPS.
The total number of Palestinians incarcerated in Israeli jails has reached 6300, including 300 children and 57 females; 10 of whom are minors.
