RAMALLAH, September 26, 2017 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated German Chancellor Angela Merkel on her party’s victory in the German national elections.
He wished Merkel success in forming the next government, which he said will bring progress and prosperity to the brotherly people of Germany.
President Abbas said he looks forward to strengthening cooperation and coordination between their two countries to serve their people in the best way possible as well as supporting “sincere Palestinian efforts to achieve a just peace sought after by the all the people in our region.”
