RAMALLAH, September 20, 2017 (WAFA) – The Palestinian government declared that Thursday will be an official holiday marking the Muslim Hijra New Year 1439.
The announcement means all government institutions, schools, banks and many businesses will shut down for the day.
The Muslim New Year is usually marked with prayer and worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
