RAMALLAH, August 17, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday detained 18 Palestinians during multiple overnight raids across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society.
Israeli forces detained three Palestinians after ransacking their family homes in Beitin town, northeast of Ramallah.
Forces also detained a Palestinian during a raid that triggered clashes in Beit Rima town, northwest of Ramallah.
The detainee was reportedly identified as a resident of Salfit-district village of Kafr Ad-Dik.
Three other Palestinians were detained in predawn raids across Ramallah and al-Bireh district in the central West Bank.
In Jerusalem district, police detained a Palestinian after raiding his workplace in the depopulated village of Malha. He identified as a resident of the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan.
Police conducted similar raids across East Jerusalem where they detained three other Palestinians.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces handcuffed and detained a Palestinian after breaking into his family home in Beit Sahour town, east of Bethlehem.
Meanwhile, troops detained two Palestinians in overnight raids in Nablus district in the northern West Bank.
Four other Palestinians were detained in similar raids in the northern West Bank; three from Tulkarem district and another from Jenin district.
