GAZA, June 9, 2025 (WAFA) — At least 13 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed on Monday as Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of airstrikes targeting several areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip. Dozens more were reported injured.
According to WAFA correspondent on the ground, seven people were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a tent sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis. Additional casualties were reported following a separate strike on the town of Abasan Al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis.
A woman also succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli bombing in the same city, while a young girl was killed by Israeli gunfire in the industrial zone northwest of Khan Younis. Two more people were killed in a drone strike targeting a group of civilians in the Batn al-Samin area in southern Khan Younis.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 54,880 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 126,227 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
