RAMALLAH, August 17, 2017 (WAFA) – An Israeli army unit raided early Thursday the village of Deir Abu Mishal, northwest of Ramallah, where it blow up the family residence of Adel Ankoush who was killed following an attack against Israeli police in Jerusalem in June, local sources said.
They told WAFA that the army rigged the house and blew it up causing damage to several neighboring homes.
The army demolished using a bulldozer two other homes in Deir Abu Mishal on August 10 for the two other alleged attackers in the same incident who were also killed, Baraa Saleh and Usama Atta, and rigged the Ankoush house to blow it up instead of demolishing it because it was jammed between many other homes.
However, when it was clear that the explosion could cause damage to other homes, the army changed plans and sealed it shut until it returned on Thursday and blew it.
Israel demolished a total of five homes in the West Bank for alleged Palestinian attackers this month - three in Deir Abu Mishal, one in Silwad and one in Kobar.
