HEBRON, April 12, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Wednesday raided the southern West Bank town of Yatta and took over rooftops as dozens of settlers held a provocative visit to the town’s national park, according a local activist.
Rateb Jbour, an anti-settlements activist, told WAFA that dozens of Israeli settlers came to the park and the town and obstructed movement of Palestinian vehicles as soldiers took over rooftops to protect them.
While Israelis visit national parks inside Israel during the Passover holiday, which they are celebrating this week, the settlers prefer to hold them in West Bank parks knowing that these visits provoke the local Palestinian population.
