RAMALLAH, April 7, 2017 (WAFA) - The Central Elections Commission (CEC) Friday announced the end of the legal period for nomination which commenced on 28 March.

CEC said in a press release the CEC offices received the nomination applications for ten days across all the West Bank districts.

The CEC‘s staff is currently reviewing and processing 761 received applications in preparation for publishing the preliminary list of electoral lists and candidates on Sunday 9 April.

The preliminary register of electoral lists and candidates will be published at the premises of the local authorities, CEC district offices and webpage on 9 April in order to enable all citizens to review them and submit objections to the nomination of lists or their candidates according to law and within the published elections timeline.

The final register of electoral lists and candidates will be published on 29 April after adjudicating of any challenges or appeals to nomination by the CEC and the competent court.
