Israeli army incursion into Deheisheh camp leaves injuries, one critical

BETHLEHEM, April 5, 2017 (WAFA) – One Palestinian was critically injured by live fire and three others were detained during an early Wednesday Israeli military incursion into Deheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, according to Palestinian security sources.?

Camp residents clashed with the soldiers who opened fire at them and injured one person who was reported in critical condition.

He was identified as Akram Atrash, 23, who was hit by three bullets in the back and shoulder, according to medical sources at Beit Jala hospital.

Atrash family members said Akram was transferred to Hadassah medical center in West Jerusalem due to the seriousness of his injury.

The army searched several homes in the camp and detained three people before leaving it, said the security sources.
