JERUSALEM, March 28, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli police detained on Tuesday six Islamic Awqaf guards at al-Aqsa Mosque compound in in Jerusalem.
WAFA correspondent said that Israeli police raided the houses of the four guards and detained them.
On Monday, Israeli police detained four guards after they stopped a Jewish archaeologist from stealing an ancient mosque stone. Director of of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Omar Kiswani, was also detained when he tried to intervene on behalf of the guards as they attempted to prevent the theft.
