HEBRON, January 14, 2017 (WAFA) – A number of Palestinians Saturday suffered from suffocation after inhaling tear gas fired at them by Israeli soldiers during clashes in the town of Beit Ummar to the north of Hebron, according to a local activist.
Mohammad Awad, an activist with the Popular Committee against Settlements in Beit Ummar, told WAFA Israeli soldiers stormed al-Bayyada area and seized a Palestinian vehicle, spurring clashes with the town’s residents.
Forces reportedly fired tear gas canisters at the residents, causing a number of suffocation cases. They were all treated at the scene.
