JERUSALEM, August 21, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Sunday detained at least 19 Palestinians during predawn raids in occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank, according to local and security sources.

In Jerusalem, Israeli forces broke into the town of Hazma, east of the city, and detained Fayez Sbeih and Loai Sbeih, after raiding their homes in the town.

Israeli police also stormed the neighborhood districts of Jabal al-Mukabir and al-Issawiya in Jerusalem, where they detained three Palestinians, provoking clashes with local Palestinian youths during which the police used toxic gas canisters and stun grenades to disperse the former. The detainees were identified as Mohammad Ashour Ebeid, Ali Ebeid, and Mohammad Yousef Atiya.

Israeli police further detained seven other Palestinians from Jerusalem, after summoning them over the phone to appear for interrogation at the Russian Compound in the city. The detainees were identified as Ali Ewesat, Fares Ewesat, Ahmad Ewesat, Adnan Elayyan, Mujahed Abdu, Obaida Abu Edehem, and Mahmoud Ewesat.

Meanwhile in Jenin, in northern West Bank, Israeli army detained three Palestinian youths and seized their motorbikes after beating them up, while they were motor-biking outside the city. The three were identified as Mohammad Fadi Saadi, Ward Abdul-Hadi, and Diaa Hutoub.

Israeli forces, meanwhile, stormed Al-Faraa refugee camp near the city of Tubas, in northern Jordan Valley, and provoked clashes with local youths, during which at least one Palestinian was injured with a live shot in his shoulder. At least one Palestinian, Moath Aydi, was reportedly arrested by the army during the raid.

In Bethlehem area, in southern West Bank, Israeli troops broke into Aida refugee camp and detained a teenager, 13-year-old Yaza Kurd, after raiding and searching his family home.

In Hebron district, Israeli forces detained Hassan Ekhlai, 20, after raiding his home in the town of Beit Ummar; as well as Moath Qaisia from the nearby town of Dahiriya.
