JERUSALEM, August 3, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces early Wednesday and Tuesday evening detained at least 14 Palestinians, including three minors, during raids across the West Bank, said security sources and a local activist.
Five Palestinians were detained from Jerusalem, three others from Hebron, three others from Tulkarem, two others from Jenin and another from Nablus.
Israeli police raided al-Issawiya town, north of Jerusalem, storming several houses and detaining Anas Mafarja, a minor.
Police also detained four Palestinians during a raid into the Silwan neighborhood of Batn al-Hawa, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
The detainees were identified as Muntaser Abu-Nab, 14, Majdi Abu-Nab, 17, Muhammad Matar, 19, and Sabri Ibrahim, 21.
In Hebron district, Israeli forces handcuffed and detained Hamza al-Atrash, 19, after storming and ransacking his family house in the southern part of Hebron city.
They also detained Muhammad Ad-Daghamin, 26, during an overnight raid into As-Samu‘ town, south of Hebron.
Another Palestinian was detained during a predawn raid into Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.
Muhamma Awad, a local activist who monitors settlement construction, identified the detainee as Hamza Khliel, 16.
Also in Hebron district, forces reportedly raided Sa‘ir and Idhna towns, northeast and west of Hebron, storming several houses, including the family house of Alaa Kawazba.
Kawazba was killed by Israeli forces after allegedly attempting to stab soldiers at the Gush Etzion junction, on January 7, 2016.
In Tulkarem district, forces raided Nur Shams refugee camp, detaining three members of the Obeid family.
The detainees were identified as Majdi Obeid, 35, his brother, Qutaiba, and his sister, Maha.
In Jenin district, forces raided al-Yamon and Qabatia towns, west and south of the northern West Bank city, detaining Salah Amr, 29, and Eyad Abu al-Rub.
They also stormed and wreaked havoc into the house of Odai Ghawadra in Bir al-Basha village, south of Jenin, seeking to detain him.
In Nablus district, troops handcuffed and detained Abdul-Rahman Asida, 24, during an overnight raid into Tell village, southwest of Nablus.
