RAMALLAH, June 22, 2016 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies focused in their Wednesday issue on the execution of a Palestinian teenager by the Israeli army near Ramallah.
They said 15-year-old Mahmoud Rafat Badran was on Tuesday shot dead and four others injured by Israeli soldiers who opened live fire at them, allegedly while they were pelting stones at Israeli vehicles near the village of Beit Luqia, southwest of Ramallah.
Al-Quds and al-Hayat al-Jadida said that recently released reports indicated “ongoing secret excavations” by the Israeli authorities beneath al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem.
Al-Ayyam said Israeli army demolished a number of Palestinian-owned homes in the town of Beit Jala, east of Bethlehem, allegedly after a soldier was injured by a stone attack near the town.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said Israeli forces on Wednesday detained at least 17 Palestinians during night raids across the West Bank.
Al-Quds and al-Ayyam reported that six Jordanian military personnel were on Tuesday killed in a suicide truck bomb attack near a makeshift refugee camp on the border with Syria.
Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida said Israeli army on Tuesday demolished the family Bashar Masalha – who was shot dead by Israeli police in March 2016 after he allegedly stabbed and killed a US national in Tel Aviv – in a collective punishment against his family.
