GAZA, April 3, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli naval boats on Sunday opened machine gunfire towards Palestinian fishermen, who were sailing offshore the central Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
There were no reports of casualties.
This came despite reports that Israel decided to extend the fishing zone off the coast of Gaza from Sunday.
Media sources said that Israel decided to expand the fishing zone from six to nine nautical miles off the coast, from Wadi Gaza in the central Gaza Strip to the Egyptian border in the south.
