GAZA, July 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Ireland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Simon Harris, said that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip has reached a catastrophic stage, warning that famine is stalking the Strip's residents.
He further affirmed, "children are dying of hunger before the eyes of the world."
In a tweet posted on his official account, Harris called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, stressing the need to lift the Israeli blockade on humanitarian aid, and asserting that this genocide must stop.
