HEBRON, August 11, 2015 (WAFA) - Israeli forces Tuesday physically assaulted two Palestinians, including a child, in the Tal al-Rumeida and Ash-Shalal areas in the Old City of Hebron, said security sources.

Forces assaulted ‘Ala al-Tamimi, 15, and Hussein al-Natsha, 21, in the Tal- al-Rumeida and Ash-Shalala localities respectively, inflicting them with wounds and bruises across their bodies.

Both al-Tamimi and al-Natsha were admitted into Hebron Public hospital for medical treatment.

Furthermore, forces raided As-Samou and Deir Samet towns to the south of the city, where they broke into and ransacked several houses.

Two homeowners whose houses were ransacked were identified as Suleiman al-Mahariq and Rasem al-Hrub.

Forces also raided several neighborhoods in Hebron and set up roadblocks at the entrances of Sa‘ir and Hahul towns to the north of the city, where they stopped and examined Palestinian registered vehicles travelling along the way and inspected passengers’ identification cards.

This came as Palestinian locals in the Nablus village of Qaryut prevented a settlers’ attack on the village’s public park.

Dozens of settlers from the nearby Israeli settlement of Eli sneaked into the western outskirts of the village through olive orchards and attempted to scorch the public park and some houses.

However, gathering villagers managed to thwart the attack after they noticed the settlers’ suspicious movement and chased them in groups, forcing them to run away. No injuries were reported in the incident.
