RAMALLAH, July 13, 2015 (WAFA) – The
three Palestinian Arabic dailies focused in their Monday issue on Israel’s
release of former hunger striking Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan, a resident
of Jenin, on Sunday after reaching a deal with the Israeli authorities to end his strike in
return for his release.
Three dailies printed photos of
Khader Adnan as he was reunited with his mother and daughter. Both al-Quds and
al-Hayat al-Jadida featured Adnan kissing his crying mother’s hand upon his
arrival to his hometown in Jenin.
Israeli authorities Sunday released
political prisoner Khader Adnan after he reached a deal with the latter to end
his 55-day of hunger strike in return for his release. The Israeli authorities
also pledged not to detain him again under administrative detention – without
indictment or trial.
Al-Ayyam also focused in its main
news story on Israel’s threats to demolish the ancient
village of Susia, south of Hebron.
They said an Israeli army force and
staff from the Civil Administration broke into the village of Susia on
Sunday and notified local residents about Israel’s intention to demolish a
number of homes in the village after the Islamic holiday of Eid el-Fitr.
The three dailies also reported that
a video footage obtained by B’Tselem, an Israeli human rights group, showed that
teenager Mohammad al- Kasabah, a Palestinian who was shot dead by an Israeli
army officer near Qalandia refugee camp, posed no threat to the Israeli officer
who fatally shot him from behind.
Al-Quds said the Israeli authorities
imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinians to Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque
to mark the 27th night of the holy month Ramadan, known
as Lailat al-Qadr .

Prophet Muhammad
Al-Quds and al-Ayyam said senior
political and military officials said that Israel will not free Palestinian
prisoners in exchange for the two Israeli; An Israeli Arab and an Israeli of
Ethiopian descent, who crossed the border into Gaza and were abducted by Hamas
faction in Gaza.
Al-Quds reported Netnyahu as holding
Hamas responsible for the safety of the abducted Israelis.
The dailies said Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked his cabinet ministers to vote against a bill
proposed by right-wing Yisrael Beiteinu party, which calls for instituting
death penalty of Palestinians convicted of murder of Israelis.
Al-Quds and al-Ayyam said Iran and
six world powers were close to signing a historic nuclear deal that will bring
sanctions relief in exchange for curbs on Tehran's atomic program.
Al-Ayyam said illegal Israeli
settlers set fire to a number of Palestinian-owned olive trees in the village
of Nahalin near Bethlehem.
