Daily Arrests Campaign: Israeli Forces Arrest 14 in West Bank, East Jerusalem

West Bank, JERUSALEM, December 30, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli forces arrested a total of 14 Palestinians in different cities and towns of the west bank and East Jerusalem late Monday and early Tuesday, according to security and local sources reports.

In the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah 10 Palestinians were arrested after raiding the town in a mass predawn arrest raid, according to the Mayor Ayoub Swaid.

Swaid said the Israeli forces knocked the door of a wedding hall down and locked in a dozen of Palestinians in the hall to investigate with them.

Few of those who were arrested were identified by local sources as: Mohammad Ghafari, Azzam Shabana, Ziad Khalil, Ahmed and Islam Toafsheh, Shadi Masalmeh, and journalist Mohammad Ghafari.

The soldiers assaulted the mother of Islam Toafsheh and hit her in the face when they tried to arrest her son. They also attacked the ambulance driver after the latter refused to allow the army dog from entering the vehicle to inspect it.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians were arrested Tuesday morning in the town of Housan, west of Bethlehem.

According to the village council member Mohammed Shusha, the Israeli soldiers arrested 18- year-old Mohammed Hamamrah, and 25 –year-old Moataz Hamamrah, after raiding their houses and searching it.

Another Palestinian was arrested in the town of Bani neim, east of Hebron. According to local sources, 22-year-old Anees al-Khdoor was arrested after raiding his house and searching it. The soldiers confiscated two computers and his personal mobile phone, and took him to an unknown destination.

Israeli forces arrested Monday evening, Adli Abu Tayeh, after raiding Ein al-Louzeh Neighborhood in the town of Silwan of East Jerusalem.

According to witnesses, Israeli forces raided several homes in the area before arresting Abu Tayeh, and took him to one of the detention and interrogation centers in the old city.
