GAZA, May 8, 2025 (WAFA) – Seven Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Thursday afternoon in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of civilians west of Gaza City, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondents reported that the strike hit a fish market owned by the Abu Hassira family, located behind the Al-Amal Hotel in the western part of the city. The attack resulted in the killing of seven civilians and injuries to others, though the exact number of wounded has yet to be confirmed.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 52,760 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 119,264 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
