HEBRON, December 16, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli forces arrested early
Tuesday and Monday night nine Palestinians, including four between the ages of
16 and 19, from across the West Bank, said security sources and the Palestinian
Prisoner’s Club (PPC).
Israeli forces raided several neighborhoods in the Hebron area, and
arrested Majed, 19, and Hazem al-Haymoni, 23, after breaking into their homes
and vandalizing their property.
They also arrested Ammar Amr, 29, and severely assaulted his
brother, leaving bruises in several parts of his body. Amr’s brother was
transferred to a Hebron hospital, where medics described his condition as
stable.
Forces also raided al-Tabaqa village in Dura area to the southwest
of Hebron city, where they arrested Taysir Abu Ras, 17, and Mahmoud Hraibat,
16, after breaking into and wrecking havoc into their families’ homes.
They also set up roadblocks at the entrances of Sa‘ir, Halhul,
al-Fawwar junction and the northern entrance of Hebron, pulling vehicles with
Palestinian plates numbers to the side and inspecting passengers’ identity
cards.
Forces also arrested Qalqilia resident Mohammad Shawahneh, 36, at the
Israeli Attara checkpoint, to the north of Ramallah, while he was on his way to
hospital for a medical checkup after having recently undergone a heart surgery.
In the meantime, three Palestinians from al-Amour family were
arrested after being interrogated at the Israeli intelligence center in the Gush
Etzion settlements bloc. They were identified as Barra and Khalil, both aged
19, and Mohammad, 24.
