NABLUS, May 30, 2026 (WAFA) – Seven Palestinians were injured on Saturday by live ammunition and physical assault during an attack by Israeli colonists on the village of Madama, south of Nablus.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said its crews received reports that a 72-year-old man was shot in the foot with live ammunition, while a 40-year-old man sustained injuries after being assaulted by colonists.

A 46-year-old man was wounded by bullet shrapnel to the face, and a 53-year-old man was shot in the thigh with live ammunition during the assault.

The Red Crescent also reported that a 43-year-old man and two women, aged 45 and 53, were injured after being assaulted and beaten by colonists.

The organization said Israeli occupation forces prevented its crews from reaching the injured.

Rami Nassar, head of Madama Village Council, told WAFA that dozens of Israeli colonists from a newly established colonial outpost built on lands north of the village attacked Palestinian shepherds in the area and opened live fire at them.

He added that Red Crescent crews and local residents were unable to reach the victims due to the intervention of Israeli occupation forces, which blocked roads leading to the area with earth mounds and iron gates.
