JORDAN VALLEY, August 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces began excavation and expansion works on Wednesday around the Al-Hamma spring in the northern Jordan Valley, for the benefit of Israeli colonists.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces, accompanied by a bulldozer, stormed the area, forced residents to remove their cattle from the spring, and prevented them from drinking its water, before commencing the excavation and expansion works.

Residents rely on the spring's water to irrigate their livestock, especially during the summer months, amid high temperatures and limited water sources in the northern Jordan Valley.

The area has witnessed frequent incursions by colonists attempting to seize the spring and deprive Palestinians of its water.
