BRATISLAVA, August 6, 2014 (WAFA) – The Slovakian Ministry of
Foreign Affairs called, in a statement on Tuesday, upon the Palestinian and
Israeli sides to resume peace negotiations in order to reach an end to the
conflict and bring about a viable lasting peace, based on a two-state solution.
The Ministry welcomed the 72-hour ceasefire agreement – reached on
Tuesday, expressing appreciation to the parties who were engaged in mediating
between the parties to secure a ceasefire, particularly Egypt.
The Ministry said it strongly hopes that the current ceasefire
could be transferred into a lasting and permanent one, which is ‘necessary’ for
all.
