NEW YORK, May 29, 2026 (WAFA) – UNICEF announced on Friday that an average of 11 children have been killed or injured every 24 hours in Lebanon over the past week amid the ongoing Israeli attacks that began in March.
The organization called for the immediate protection of children and an end to the attacks, warning of a worsening humanitarian and psychological crisis affecting children across Lebanon.
In recent weeks, Israeli occupation forces have intensified heavy strikes across Lebanon, killing and wounding thousands since the start of the offensive on March 2, while hundreds of thousands of residents have been displaced following Israeli evacuation threats.
